Career Outlook
The MAT in Deaf Education provides candidates with the skills to meet the individual language and literacy needs of children who are deaf or hard of hearing across a variety of P-12 settings at a time when there is a high demand for such qualified professionals. Those with advanced ASL skills, as evidenced by successful completion of the ASLPI exam, can obtain DHH with Sign Proficiency certification.
