What Are the Requirements to be Admitted to the Program?
First-time freshmen who wish to major in Biomedical Sciences must:
- Achieve a Math ACT score of 23 or higher
- Achieve an English ACT score of 20 or higher
- Earn a high school GPA of 3.0 or better
Students transferring to EKU who wish to major in Biomedical Sciences must:
- Carry a GPA of 3.0 on at least 24 hours attempted
EKU students wishing change majors to Biomedical Sciences must:
- Carry a GPA of 3.0 on at least 24 hours attempted

Are There Scholarship Opportunities?
The Department of Biological Sciences has a few scholarships for continuing sophomores, juniors, and seiors based on academic performance within the department and need. Applications are accepted each spring semester following the posting of the application information on our department webpage. New students may find opportunities through the EKU Financial Aid Office or the College of Science.
